We've designed our soft washable rugs to make your life easier, so caring for them is simple:
- When your rug arrives, simply unfold it and place it flat in your desired space. Our washable rugs are easy to fold and unfold. Please note, since your rug will arrive folded, it may take a few days for any creases to relax.
- When it's time to clean your rug, simply machine wash with cold water using the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach.
- We recommend line drying or drying without heat on an air-only drying cycle. A low heat iron can be used if needed.
- To remove any dirt or debris, hand vacuum carefully on the lowest setting without the beater bar.
- Compatible with rug pads from Ruggable, Tumble rugs, Safavieh and other brands.
- Our washable rugs are designed to be compatible with most standard washing machines.

Can I vacuum my Lahome rug?
Yes, Lahome rugs are safe to vacuum using most standard vacuums, including handheld vacuums and robot vacuums. We recommend using the lowest suction setting and without a beater brush.
If your vacuum is too strong and lifts the rug while cleaning, reduce the suction power or step on one corner of the rug to keep it in place while vacuuming. This helps maintain the rug’s shape and ensures smooth cleaning.
Why does my Lahome rug have wrinkles or creases after unpacking?
It’s normal for your Lahome rug to have some wrinkles or fold lines after being packed and shipped. These will naturally relax over time with regular use.
To help flatten the rug faster:
Unroll the rug in the opposite direction of the fold, then lay it flat.
Use rug stickers or rug tape to secure the corners—this helps the rug stay in place and speeds up the flattening process.
If needed, you can also use a hand steamer or place a damp towel over the crease and iron on low heat (avoid direct contact with the fibers).
With a little time and care, your rug will return to its smooth, beautiful shape.
