Lahome's washable rugs are uniquely foldable for easy carrying and storage, which innovatively changes the way we used to live and allows you to change rug designs more frequently, from bohemian rugs to moroccan rugs to persian rugs.

However, after a long period of shipping or storage, a new problem may arise: unsightly creases in area rugs or runner rugs when you take them out of the packaging.

Don't worry, the creases will flatten out naturally. Such creases are not permanent, all you need to do is allow time for them flatten out and settle. Some runner rugs may require more intervention, or you'd like to speed up the process, here are some tips to eliminate creases and bends to have your rug looking its best in no time:

Reverse Roll

This is the easiest method. Leave it reverse rolled for at least 24 hours before unrolling it again.

Heavy Objects

Place objects or furniture on the affected area for a few hours. You can then remove the objects and see how it works. If it flattens out, then it's done! If not, take a closer look to see if it looks better than when you started, and if the answer is yes, continue the process until the rug is flat.

Rug Tape

Apply it to the back corners and pressing the rug firmly on the floor, slowly flattening the creases.

Steam

This is by far the most effective method to help remove stubborn creases. We recommend covering the crease with a damp towel or cloth and steam setting it.

Heat

If your rug still won't straighten, consider heating the back of the rug with a hair dryer or laying it out in the sun to allow the rug fibers to relax and lay flat.

-Hair dryer heat: Select a low heat setting and always hold the hair dryer 7 to 12 inches from the rug;

-Leave it in the sun: leave the rug in a sunny location for up to 2 hours.

Please note that high temperatures may cause the backing to melt.

Finally, Lahome is unique in that the rug itself is completely machine washable, and putting it in the washing machine is also a great way to get rid of creases. It's common for rugs to crease during transportation, but it's only temporary. You don't have to worry about your persian rugs not looking their best, all it takes is a little trickery to restore the beauty!
