How to wash my Lahome Rug?
When you haven't cleaned your rugs for a long time, we recommend that you first vacuum the front and back of the rug (lowest power setting, without using the agitator brush), or take the rug outside and tap the back to remove more dirt. Then put it in the washer for cleaning.
And when a major spill or pet accident occurs, we recommend cleaning your rug immediately. The specific steps for machine washing are as follows:
Step 1: For best results, Lahome recommends that you ideally ensure that all stains are facing outwards and wash on the gentle cycle to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.
Step 2: Choose a mild (effective) detergent and wash in cold water. Do not use detergents containing bleach or fabric softeners. As with any washable product, over-washing with harsh detergents can damage polyester fibers, which is why we recommend using the methods above to ensure a gentle wash.
Step 3: After cleaning, we recommend hanging the rug to allow it to air dry and avoid direct sunlight to preserve its color and integrity. You can also choose to tumble dry on low heat, but if you choose this be sure to wait a day or two for complete drying.
